The North East Business Support Fund can help businesses receive up to 40% of funding for Business Improvement projects.

Who can apply?

  • Small and medium sized enterprises (SME) actively trading and based in the North East of England
  • Businesses that provide a business to business product or service

Eligible projects include:

  • Business planning
  • Process improvement
  • Financial management & planning
  • Accessing new markets
  • Design of marketing & branding
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Bespoke software development
  • Development of quality management systems
  • Improved ergonomics & layout
  • Environmental/efficiency programmes
  • Change management programmes
  • HR policies & procedures
  • Technical designs
  • Website design & development

What is on Offer with NBSL?

  • Up to 40% support to a maximum of £1400
  • Business diagnostic to clarify need
  • Assistance in finding the right provider
  • Links to other complementary funding in the North East

What type of Businesses can apply?

  • Are a registered business based in the North East of England
  • Have already commenced trading (have issued their 1st invoice)
  • Business to Business client base
  • Are looking to increase turnover or number of employees
  • Have not received support managed by NBSL since April 2011
