This Girl Can

 

#ThisGirlCan certainly caught my eye earlier this month. Being a busy mum, business owner, netball player, Zumba and Aero attack addict it’s important for me to stay fit and healthy, even though I’m not a size zero.

The 90-second TV ad, which was created by FCB Inferno and launched during ITV’s Coronation Street on Monday 12th January, shows ordinary women taking part in sport and is backed by Missy Elliott’s Get Ur Freak On. The concept came from research that suggested women are less likely to participate in sport than men.

This Girl Can is a national campaign developed by Sport England and a wide range of partnership organisations.

It’s a celebration of active women up and down the country who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets.

This Girl Can celebrates the women who are doing their thing no matter how they do it, how they look or even how sweaty they get. They’re here to inspire us to wiggle, jiggle, move and prove that judgement is a barrier that can be overcome.
